Reached by a mountain road from Villagrande Strisaili, Bau Mela is a green shelf of planted pine and a chapel on the shore of the long Alto Flumendosa lake, ringed by the schist ridges of the Gennargentu. Easy paths follow the water; the wilder Codula and the Bruncu Spina trails start not far away.
