Baia del Silenzio
Liguria
Tucked behind the rocky promontory that splits Sestri Levante into its two bays, Baia del Silenzio takes its name from the unusually still, wind-sheltered water that laps its narrow sandy shore. Pastel-painted fishermen's houses rise directly behind the beach, their reflections doubling in the calm water on quiet mornings. The short headland path connecting it to the town's other bay, Baia delle Favole, passes a small medieval convent.
