Gambarie, Aspromonte
Calabria
Gambarie is the small ski resort on the Aspromonte at 1,300 m. The walks above reach Montalto (1,955 m) — the highest point in Calabria — through forests of silver fir and Calabrian black pine. Semi-wild horses roam the upper plateau. On clear days, both the Tyrrhenian and Ionian coasts are simultaneously visible.
