Alta Via 1 — Section: Alleghe to Selva

The Alta Via delle Dolomiti No. 1 is the original Dolomite long-distance route, traversing from Lake Braies to Belluno. The Alleghe-to-Selva section is the wildest — three days through the Civetta, Pelmo and Marmolada massifs. The route uses rifugi for shelter and requires alpine experience but not technical skill.
