From San Vigilio di Marebbe a track climbs the Val di Rudo past a waterfall to the Alpe di Fanes at 2,100 m, a rolling limestone plateau with the Lé Vert and Lé de Limo lakes, two mountain refuges and the "Ciastel de Fanes" rock towers of Ladin myth.
