Alpe Devero
Piedmont
Alpe Devero's broad, gently sloping plateau above Baceno feels almost Nordic, with weathered stone-roofed baite scattered among larch groves and a braided stream winding through flower meadows. The Parco Naturale Veglia-Devero protects golden eagles, black grouse, and one of Piedmont's healthiest ibex populations on the surrounding ridges. Cross-country ski trails in winter become wildflower hikes by July.
