Vittorio Veneto was created by merging the towns of Ceneda and Serravalle, and gives its name to the decisive 1918 battle that ended Italy's WWI Alpine front, commemorated in a museum in Serravalle's stone quarter. The old streets here are level, quiet and backed by the first ridges of the Prealpi Trevigiane.
