Venzone — Il Borgo delle Mummie

Venzone was almost completely flattened by the 1976 earthquake, and its unusual reconstruction effort — numbering and replacing the original stones wherever possible — restored the medieval walls and cathedral to near their pre-disaster appearance, a feat that also preserved the crypt's naturally mummified bodies. The wall walk is flat and complete.
