Val Saisera, Valbruna
Friuli-Venezia Giulia
From Valbruna a level gravel road runs deep into the Val Saisera through spruce forest famous for its resonant timber — used for violins for centuries. It ends at meadows below the sheer glaciated north face of the Montasio and the Jôf Fuart, an easy there-and-back with big mountains at the turnaround.
