Santuario di Graglia

Piemonte

Begun in the 17th century as an unfinished "new Loreto", the Santuario di Graglia sits at 800 m on the Prealpi Biellesi. A cobbled devotional path with small chapels climbs into the chestnut wood behind it, and the terrace in front looks clear across the rice plain to the Monferrato and, on bright days, the Apennines.
