Monte Cuarnan, Gemona del Friuli
Friuli-Venezia Giulia
The Cuarnan (1,372 m) rises straight off the Friuli plain at the mouth of the Val Ferro. A relentless path from Gemona climbs the Sella Foredôr and the summit meadows to the small chapel of the Redentore — first raised for the Holy Year of 1900, rebuilt after the 1976 quake that levelled Gemona — with a plain-to-Alps view from the top.
