Monte Cocuzzo, Catena Costiera

Calabria

Monte Cocuzzo (1,541 m) is the pyramidal high point of the Catena Costiera, the narrow mountain wall between the Crati valley and the sea. Paths from the Cosenza-side villages of Mendicino and Carolei climb through oak and beech to a rocky crest with a summit cross and, on a clear day, a view from Stromboli to the Sila.
