From the Colle San Bernardo the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri climbs open pasture and scattered beech to the rounded 1,739 m top of Monte Armetta. It is one of the easiest big-view summits in the western chain, with the Ligurian Alps, the Maritime Alps and — on clear days — the sea all in sight.
