Built from 1912 among salt-pan pinewoods just north of the old town of Cervia, Milano Marittima grew into the trendier, more youth-oriented half of the twin resort — pedestrianised shopping streets and beach clubs behind a beach whose sand quality matches Cervia's own. The Pineta di Milano Marittima gives shade a short walk back from the water.
