Grotta della Tanaccia & Rio Cavinale, Brisighella

Emilia-Romagna

The Rio Cavinale has cut a slot into the glittering selenite crest of the Vena del Gesso. A path from Brisighella follows it past sinkholes and small blind valleys to the Grotta della Tanaccia, used for burials 3,500 years ago, then climbs onto the ridge with its castle and clocktower in view.
