Grotta Bella, Santa Restituta

Umbria

Grotta Bella opens in the oak and holm-oak forest above the hamlet of Santa Restituta near Avigliano Umbro. Excavations found Neolithic pottery and Roman votive offerings — the cave was a cult site for millennia. A short forest path reaches the entrance; longer trails loop the Amerini ridges from there.
