Cornate di Gerfalco & Poggio di Montieri

Toscana

The Cornate di Gerfalco are a reef of grey limestone — cliffs, pinnacles and screes with peregrines and rare rock plants — standing out of the chestnut and oak of the Colline Metallifere. Paths from Gerfalco climb past old silver mines to the 1,060 m top, with a view over the metal-bearing hills to the Tyrrhenian and Corsica.
