The Chalamy stream drops through the Vallone di Champdepraz in a series of falls and pools inside Mont Avic Natural Park, the same protected valley whose entrance and serpentine-rock plateau are covered elsewhere in this guide — this is the waterfall chain itself, reached by a path that climbs alongside the torrent from the valley floor. In winter the falls ice over into a well-known frozen-waterfall climbing route.
