Cascata di Valleremita (Salto del Lupo), Fabriano

Marche

Valleremita ("hermits' valley") was a Camaldolese retreat and the home of the painter Gentile da Fabriano's great altarpiece. A path from the hamlet climbs through beech and chestnut along the stream to the Salto del Lupo, where the water drops in a single clean fall into a mossy amphitheatre.
