Bosco di Collestrada, Perugia

Umbria

Collestrada is a green island above the E45 — oak, hornbeam and Mediterranean scrub over the low hill where Perugia crushed Assisi in 1202 (a young Francis among the prisoners). Marked loops of different lengths cross it, with a fenced dog area and views to Assisi and Monte Subasio.
