Bassano del Grappa — Ponte degli Alpini & Brenta Walk

Designed by Andrea Palladio and rebuilt in wood after wartime destruction, the Ponte degli Alpini crosses the fast, pale-green Brenta right at the edge of Bassano's old town. A flat gravel path follows the riverbank both up and downstream, with Monte Grappa's slopes visible behind the rooftops.
