Argimusco (the Sicilian Stonehenge), Montalbano Elicona
Sicilia
At about 1,200 m near Montalbano Elicona, wind and rain have carved the outcrops of the Argimusco into forms people have read as a mammoth, an eagle, a great "orant" figure — hence the nickname. Whatever their origin, a short loop among them gives a strange skyline and a view over Etna and the Aeolian sea.
